only realyogue could do those movements with SPIRIT…
Pretty impressive. Do you have to be double jointed in order to do some of these moves?
@adityakrishna008 if you want people to know more about yoga then why not inform them through classes and seminars? you know, actually do something about it
the monkey is rather inspiring. Aren’t we just another monkey? That monkey could be more advanced in yoga
I do yoga because I find it reduces the chances of injury and improves my performance when I am doing Judo. What does that make me?
Yes and noble narcissism likewise is bound to give rise to obsessive, goal orientated yoga !
goal orientated obsession may give rise to yoga as a form of noble narcissism.
You are largely correct but not entirely.
There is no question yoga has been seriously bastardised here in the west and most people wouldn’t even have a clue what you are talking about.
Interesting point you make and it’s really an unfortunate one because it brings all the focus onto the gymnastic element of yoga which is quite meaningless ultimately.
Astanga yoga is very much about repetitive daily practice with a major focus on those gymnastic postures.
With many it encourages goal orientated obsession, a major distraction in itself, leading to injury.
Before anyone jumps on me, I own and teach at an astanga school so it’s fair to suggest I know what I am talking about.
Sometimes I think Ashtanga yoga mainly exists to make normal yoga practitioners like me feel inadequate…
Yoga is not a Physical exercise Learn Bhagavad Gita Know about YOGA …
Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Hatha Yoga.
aUM nAMAH sHiVAYA
The reason for yoga is to prepare the body, through postures so that the body can rest on a foundation of stillness during meditation. Doing yoga postures without following it up with meditation is just physical exercise.
yoga does not mean “unite” or “union”. yoga comes from the root word “yuj” which does mean to unite. however, once the word “yoga” is fully formed it is no longer a verb. so yoga assumes that “uniting” or “creating union” has already occured. in essence, it points to the present moment. all the teachings of yoga can be found in the present moment. This thought is echoed in Patanjali’s first sutra, “atha yoga nushasanam” or “Now, yoga.”
yes ofcourse it does lenghtens
The correct word is YOG not Yoga. the western world made it Yoga. Same thing with Pranayama. It’s PRANAYAM.
It also means union
does yoga helps on increasing height???
check out my yoga headstand
I must agree, the locations and the smooth flow is just perfect.. incredible, I wish I could master this
I love this video… it’s very motivating…. thank you.
The word “Yoga” actually means
“to yoke”, or work together
very beautiful setting! I am going to do yoga right now
the word yoga translated to english means “unite” or “union”
being that you probably just said that to be an asshole i probably shouldnt be wasting our time, but if you actually meant that yoga is for people who prefer mates of the same gender, this technique is completely lost on you. the practice of yoga is to be one with yourself, humanity, and the universe by letting your body express itself for once.
and if that explanation was too boring, the kama sutra relies heavily on yoga, dumb ass
Whats the guys name? And how long has he been doing yoga ?
