Biggest Loser Review 3.9.2010 Season 9 Episode 7
Hard to believe that season 9 of the Biggest Loser is already in week 8. With the finale only two months away the contestants are really going to have to fight even harder to keep themselves on the ranch. This week the contestants are given a dose of reality as they are told they will be working 9 to 5 jobs just like back home. As the surviving players walked through the door one by one O’neal almost had a break down when he didn’t see his daughter Sunshine walk through the door. Eventually Sunshine made her way in much to O’neal’s delight.
Always eager to deliver the news for the week, Alison revealed to the teams that they would be working full time jobs in addition to keeping up with their diet and exercise routines. Alison also informed them they would be working for the Feeding America organization. And once again Biggest Loser shows us that reality television doesn’t always have to be about hooking up, getting drunk, and seeing how big of a tool you can be just for 15 minutes of fame.
The challenge this week had the teams pulling semi-trucks down the road. Pretty amazing that in just two months contestants who could barely walk up a flight of stairs are pulling 30,000 pound semis down a runway. It was a hard fought challenge but in the end the blue team rallied and pulled out the victory.
After a hard week on the job the contestant’s nerves were running high as they did not work out as often or have as much time to focus on their diets. Sam showed he was able to ward off the temptation of the vending machines when he forgot to pack his lunch for work. Instead Sam chose to eat healthy at a nearby Subway.
At the weigh in the contestants did relatively well considering their lack of workout time. In the end Cheryl was sent home. During the update we found out that Cheryl has kept up with her weight loss efforts and is down to 164 pounds. She said she plans on running a 5K race. Way to go!
