Bodybuilding Nutrition Tips – Eat Right to Gain Muscles Correctly

Get At Least 1.5x-2x your Bodyweight in Protein
For example, if you weigh 200 pounds, the proper diet should include approximately 350 to 400 grams of protein to insure that your muscle growth will be consistent. For those of you who are body building full-time, it’s recommended that you take 2-3 times your bodyweight in protein.

Consider Multiple Protein Varieties
You should consider multiple varieties of protein. One of which is read meat, which is rich with protein. Another meat alternative can include things like fish. You can also try out cottage cheese, soy, nuts, rice, and beans since they are rich with protein. In addition, these foods contain different amino acids that can support your muscle growth, so this is why having a variety of foods is a much better option.

Supplements Can Benefit You
Other sources of protein can come from supplements so that you won’t have to buy meat just to attain your required daily consumption of protein. Soy and whey proteins are just some of the most used protein supplements. You have to ensure that when you include these in your meals, you increase your fluid intake or else they will strain your kidneys and liver. The increase in fluid consumption will help negate the negative effects of consuming a high amount of protein.

Balance
If you’re doing an exhausting routine or anything that is aerobic, and if you don’t eat a diet with a sufficient amount of protein, it will cause your muscles to lose their mass and strength. There are plenty of college athletes and high school athletes that slowly lose their muscle mass during the season of their game because they don’t know this simple fact. By having sufficient protein, it will not do you any harm, and instead it will be advantageous for you.

Carbs Galore
You should always include carbohydrates within your diet because it gives you the energy that you use whenever you do lift weights or a heavy object. If you don’t eat any carbs with your protein, you won’t have enough energy or strength to do anything. Carbohydrates are essential for your body’s creation of energy.

- NEVER think about using steroids. Its results are never worth the negative side effects that come with it. You should gain muscle naturally so that it will be healthier for your body. Even health experts don’t advise using steroids because of the plethora of negative effects that come with it.
