Exercises for Effective Biceps Workouts
ByIt’s a beautiful summer. Why not learn about some great exercises to add to your biceps workouts so that you can show off your muscles? They are usually the most “prized” muscle group that people wish to grow. When you’re flexing your arms, these are the muscles that everyone else sees. If you want to build your muscles, then take a look at some of these exercises for your biceps workouts.

The first thing you should be doing is the standing bar curl. Using a barbell curl, you’ll mainly be working out your biceps. If you don’t know how to do this exercise, it’s easy. Just stand position your feet at about shoulder-width apart. Grab the barbell with an underhand grip. Using the image to the left, your starting position will be picture A. Then, you simply need to bring your arms upwards. You’ll end up in a position similar to picture B. |

Another exercise you should add to your biceps workouts is the dumbbell hammer curl. Simply grab two barbells with your palms facing towards you. Keep your hands down at your sides; this is your starting position. To do the exercise, just curl your arms. |

One of the best exercises for biceps is the EZ bar preacher curl. Make sure your seat height is high enough so that your armpits are positioned comfortably on the pad. If you’re sitting, place your feet forward so that your body is stable. If you have to stand, then keep your feet shoulder width apart. Grab the EZ bar with an underhanded grip. Bring the bar up to your shoulder level, and then slowly bring it back down to your starting position. |
For each of these exercises, remember that lowering the weight is more effective than the actual curling! You should be lowering the weight slowly. For your biceps workouts, it is recommended that you complete about 3 sets of 10 reps for each of these exercises.
