Losing lots of weight in a short amount of time seems like an exciting goal to accomplish. In your mind, you think that if you can do that, you’ll be feeling great and looking stunning. But the reality is that people often have to deal with having hanging loose skin after they’ve lost their fat. THAT SUCKS! Having the loose skin can bring down your morale after you tried so hard to lose weight. But that’s why I’m going to provide you with some tips so that you can minimize the chances of having loose skin once you shed away those pounds.
1. Stop losing weight ridiculously fast! Once people lose weight, they have all this baggy skin because they lost fat extraordinarily fast. Dropping by 3-4 pounds a week over a long period of time is not healthy to your body. It’ll cause your skin to lose elasticity, which makes it harder for it to take a proper shape for your body, resulting in the saggy skin. Try to aim for a weight loss of only 2-4 pounds each week.
If you’ve ever seen The Biggest Loser, then you probably know that the people on that show tend to lose about 20-30 pounds per week. It seems great to lose that much weight, but everyone of their successful contestants have had a major problem with baggy skin.
2. Use Moisturizer. This is especially important when you’re burning fat. By using moisturizer everday, it’ll allow the skin to preserve more elasticity. Therefore, when your body is losing fat, your skin will reduce in size along with your body. Try and put on some sort of moisturizer before you go to bed each night!
3. Use a good body scrub. When you scrub your body about once or twice a day, it’ll be able to tighten your skin. When you’re scrubbing your body, you’re getting rid of the top layer of skin, which allows the skin beneath it to regenerate faster… this helps make your skin much softer.
4. Drink plenty of water. This should be a given if you’re doing any sort of workout program. Water has a very powerful effect for fat burning. But I thought that I would mention it here and how it’ll also help your skin. By drinking a lot of water, you’ll be able to flush away the toxins from your body, resulting in healthier skin for your body. It is highly recommended that you drink 8-10 glasses of water each day.
5. Lift Weights. Doing some weight training (in addition to your usual exercises) can help you build muscles. When you’re muscles grow, they’ll fill up the inside of your skin, resulting in a tighter look. Not to mention, lifting weights also produces amazing results for fat loss!
Don’t let yourself feel dragged down by the loose skin (no pun intended). Just follow these 5 steps and you’ll be feeling GREAT after you lose all of your weight.

She still has a lot of fat under her skin. If she gets her bodyfat ratio down to 10%-15% her skin wouldn’t be bulging with the visible fat-pads still. Skin in SUPER thin like paper, and it would hang like paper if it was just loose skin. It’s encouraging to know that there are non-surgical approaches to take.
We can ATTACK the loose skin problem proper internal/external hydration; skin exercising (skin brushing and a hydrotherapy alternating hot &cold shower); MSM based body soap & lotions; Foods that help build collagen & elasticity; Shea Butter moisturizer and/or Cocoa Butter (which will diminish or rid of appearance of stretch marks); weight training (to further assist in fat-burning, raise the metabolism, and to help fill out the body and provide shape; lose weight steadily and slowly for permanency; PRACTICE all of the above before, during, and after weight loss so as to not have to deal with weighted skin that has no form to snap back to. It can shrink with the body while it is still filled out and keep doing so with the above practices.
