Exercising is a sacrifice because it’s booooring. You can’t play your favorite video games while doing it. I have no idea how people could do it before the invention of portable video players. At least these days you can watch TV while working out.
The mike reverbs abit, but apart from that one thing–I agree with this guy and love his videos!
I agree 100%
Go for it mate, you could have began working out when you were 4 years of age.
Working out doesnt specifically infer that you must lift the heaviest weights with the greatest intensity. Just exercise to your own ability and gradually increase the intensity as you become fitter.
Find enjoyment in exercise and remember the benefits, as this will keep you motivated to keep at it.
can a 14 year old start working out??
im 6′1 btw
basically, if your workout you can eat anything w/o counting calories 24/7 since you’ll burn it by lifting.
Sweating clears the pores.
is it true that working out will improve the health of your skin? just wondering, i’ve heard something similar some time back.
No person knows EVERYTHING. Though Steve knows a considerable amount more than most “experts”. He also conveys his knowledge in an intelligent manner in which one can easily understand it. He also reiterates the important aspects over and over while adding on to it the better aspects in every new video. He is one of the best – if not the best – personal trainers you could ever find.
Interchangeable? One cannot be converted to the other. But you can build muscle while losing fat.
Hi Steve,
Thanks for all the general information. I noticed while viewing several videos that you seem to lump fat loss and weight loss as interchangeable terms and I am wondering if that is on purpose.
Thanks.
How does he not know everything? What he’s he not explaining?
He never said he know everything, his main goal is to help the fact and fiction.
Steve does’nt know everything sorry everyone
Very good common sense motivation.
you truly are an inspiration- Thanks so much Steve
hey, so you are saying i could get a six-pack, if i cheat on my body like 4 times a week, but i exercise each day like running, and i could get it like that?
You deserve to have an award for these free tips Steve! Ure a real guy! Keep up the good work Pro!
Working out makes me healthier and happier. I think of it as something fun, which helps me not think of it as sacrifice.
If we only had to work out and not watch what we ate, I’d be set.
One problem with eating and then burning it off is people expect more of an effect burning Calories than it actually has. A 12 oz soda has 160 Calories. That’s a mile and a half of running right there…
My problem is figureing out the right workout for me. I am 5′8″ and 170lbs. I do a 15min. warm up on tredmill then work out 1day for Chest/Pecs/Biceps then finish with another 15min. cooling down on tredmill. 2day same warm up and cool down, work on Squats/Legs/Curls. 3rd same warmup/cooldown,work out on Back/Triceps/Lats. 4th same warm/cool,work on Abs/Lowerback. 5th same warmup/cooldown,work on Shoulders/Calves/Lats. Does this seem like a right regimen for me? Love your shows…Not so Tiny Tim.
You’re very welcome. That’s my goal! Here’s a hint, if you spread your legs apart that might help you do a few more push-ups.
Just want to say thank you for uploading all these videos, been a real help. When I first started i could barely do a pushup ( 1 1/2 weeks ago ) it basically felt like my arm was about to break off. I then went to a local gym and worked on all the things you said and it’s been working. I can do a good 20 pushups now and its only been 1 1/2 weeks. I lost 6lbs so far so thank you! literally a life saver!
I started at 268 and 6′1
Thanks a lot! I love your videos.
I appreciate that. If most people exercised as much as they argued about weight loss or complained about it, they’d be a lot skinnier.
Great advice, I totally agree with everything.
Unfortunately so many people have become very inactive and we now see the evidence of this with an appallingly overweight and unfit society.
Our bodies were designed to move and be put under resistance, people should really listen this guy, it’s really good advice.
