Hi, Amy here with Fitness News. There are tons of studies out there relating proper sleep to weight loss and proper brain health. Hey, we all want a sharper brain, right? If you notice, almost all of the fitness trackers have lot’s of metrics on them. All of them measure many different things, but, they all measure sleep. There’s a reason for this. Sleep is so important! It can be a huge game changer for people when they start getting better sleep.
Now, there are several things we can do to help getting better sleep.
1. We can turn the tv off and other electronics at least an hour before bedtime.
2. We can commit to getting to bed by 10 pm.
3. We can take a hot bath.
4. We can cut our caffeine products mid day, and don’t drink caffeine later in the day.
What a lot of people don’t know is that sometimes when we go to sleep, then we wake up around 3 or 4 in the morning, and can’t get back to sleep. That is the caffeine being processed in the body late at night from earlier in the day.
My personal favorite is a sleep spray that was created by Dr. Michael Colgan. You can learn more about it here: Sleep Spray
